Jamie's story is one of resilience, creativity, and a deep connection to our Cumbrian community.

We sat down with Jamie to learn more about Real Haven Scents, and their journey.

A Journey of Healing and Creativity

"I started Real Haven Scents during the challenging times of the COVID-19 lockdown," Jamie shared. "My mental health took a significant hit, especially as a carer witnessing so much suffering. I needed an outlet, a way to find peace, and that's when I began making candles and wax melts."

What began as a personal coping mechanism quickly blossomed into a thriving business. "Friends, family, and even strangers started asking me to make things for them," Jamie explained. "It became a lifeline, a safe space. Every sale, review, and kind word truly makes a difference."

Celebrating Five Years of Fragrant Success

Real Haven Scents will soon be celebrating its fifth anniversary, having started in May 2020. Jamie's dedication and passion have driven the business forward, expanding the product range and reaching more customers.

"As a born and bred Cumbrian, I believe in supporting local trades," Jamie said. "Working with Soak & Fizz is a perfect fit. It's about building a strong community and showcasing the incredible talent we have right here in Cumbria."

Real Haven Scents prides itself on using only natural and vegan-friendly ingredients. "Everything is British bought, and most of our products are designed with people's health and wellbeing in mind," Jamie emphasised.

Expanding the Fragrant Horizons

From candles and wax melts to air fresheners, diffusers, and organic soaps, Jamie's creativity knows no bounds. "My next goal is to create sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner bars, as well as aromatherapy products," Jamie revealed.

A True Cumbrian Spirit

Jamie's journey is deeply rooted in West Cumbria, having lived in Workington, Maryport, and now Whitehaven. This connection to the local area shines through in every product they create.
